About Us

This web site is about a cruel and outrageous Mexican injustice.

This site has been created by Scott Symonds, a Canadian who moved to Mexico in 2006 to start a business that was to export new automobiles around the world. This business was to be and is a Trader in the Parallel Automotive Market. We buy vehicles from Dealers and sell them B2B around the world. The Purchasers were and continue to be primarily Dealers and Traders all over the world that have demand for North American vehicles. Additionally over time the business also evolved into what is essentially an arbitrage of many Brands. New vehicles have vastly different Prices in different countries for the same vehicles. Only the Manufacturers can tell you why - it often defies common logic. Most would argue they charge whatever the Market will bear.

BTW the Auto Manufacturers are against what we do. They want to control Prices, Availability and Markets. They refuse to supply us vehicles directly and their Dealers are ordered not to sell vehicles for Export.

We behave to a high moral, ethical and legal standard. We comply with all the Rules, Regulations and Laws of the governments in Canada, the US and Mexico, I am guessing God also approves.

But this site is not about me. This site is about you and what is happening to you. Make some noise.

Generally speaking, vehicles in poor countries have lower Prices than in rich countries. There are other logical factors - primarily tax related - including Sales Taxes, VAT Taxes, Tariffs and Hidden Taxes.

.

I went to Mexico in 2006 because the Prices for new Automobiles then were lower than in the US or Canada. Now they are not. Now they are, on average, approximately 25% higher. A Mustang is a Mustang. A Dodge Ram is a Dodge Ram. And a Suburban is a Suburban. Basically only the Price is different in each country.

Our business in Mexico has basically been destroyed. Our business (my business there became 62% owned by my original 3 Mexican employees in 2015) was very successful. We are me, my Partners (all Mexican) and 25+ exceptional Mexican colleagues. We had a reputation around the world for excellence, a reputation in the Mexican business community for honesty and integrity, a reputation with the Mexican Government for, without exception, playing by the rules and paying lots of Tax and also a reputation by our employees and those who know us as arguably the best imaginable place to work in Mexico.

I have friends in Mexico, I have family in Mexico and I have colleagues in Mexico. I have tried, in a small way, to have made Mexico a better place. I have deep feelings for the Mexican people and I have been deeply troubled over the years at the many hardships the population at large has to endure. And now this.

There is no logical reason why Mexicans are now paying dramatically more for vehicles than their neighbours, And an added outrage is that many of these vehicles are made in Mexico.

So this is deeply personal to me. I have decided to try to make a difference.

AND it is even worse than it appears. The Mexico Peso was varying between 20.00 and 22.00 to the USD in 2019 through 2021 and now (as I write these words) is 16.75. To the inexperienced they might think that well, the Peso has gone down 20% so cars cost more. WRONG. The Peso has strengthened to 16.75. It used to cost 20,00 to 22.00 Pesos to buy $1.00 USD. It has strengthened. What used to cost 20.00 to 22.00 now only costs 16.75. For this reason alone PRICED SHOULD HAVE DECREASED 20% TO 25%

So it is not only outrageous, it is doubly outrageous.

This outrage is hiding in plain sight.

Read the site. Lots of good info. And then
